The Acute Care department is looking for an CNA I/II to join their team.

 

This is a full time, scheduled 36 hours per week and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Location:

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is located in The Dalles, Oregon. We work, live, and play in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Oregon.  Located 85 miles east of Portland in the majestic Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls, and year-round access to outdoor recreation, including downhill and cross-country skiing, world-class water sports, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. The area boasts award-winning wineries, and, most importantly, warm, friendly people.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting licensed nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care. Participates as a member of the health care team under the direction of a licensed nurse as defined by Standards and Authorized Duties for Certified Nursing Assistants in the Nurse Practice Act (ORS 678.150-678.442 {851.062-0010 thru 851.062-00135 June 2010}). Also assists with clerical functions, housekeeping, and patient transportation throughout the hospital. May perform unit clerk responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Graduated from an accredited CNA and/or CNA 2  program
Licensure/Certification:
  • Oregon Current Licensure as a CNA: Current CNA required, CNA 2 certification preferred.
  • BLS certification required
Experience:
  • Experience with using everyday technology tools (e.g., email, voicemail, internet/intranet, EMR)
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work well on multi-disciplinary team
