    Mid-Columbia Medical Center is now accepting applications for an Occupational Therapist position in the Rehabilitation Services Department.

     

    This is a part time core position which qualifies the selected candidate for a comprehensive benefits package OR a 13% pay differential in lieu of benefits.

     

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    The Occupational Therapist is responsible for offering quality therapy services on an individual basis for the patients while practicing the Planetree philosophy of individualized, patient centered care. Daily responsibilities include completing evaluations, developing written treatment plans and providing ongoing treatments that are designed to improve the patient's functional status in conjunction with the overall treatment objectives.

     

    This position may cover outpatient OT generalist, pediatrics, hand, and possibly inpatient with flexibility to float between locations.

    Qualifications


    Education:

     

    •Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health and accredited by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).


    •Has successfully completed the NBCOT national examination.

     

    Licensure/Certification:

     

    •Must be currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Oregon.


    •Be certified or eligible for certification in the Functional Independence Measure.


    •Preferably active in state OTAO and national AOTA associations.


    •CPR Certification

     

    Experience:

     

    •One to three years or more of clinical experience preferred.

     

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

     

    •Must be able to perform therapy techniques and procedures on the Occupational Therapy Skills List and demonstrate competence in these techniques and procedures.


    •Must be able to work with and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides, as well as demonstrate capacity to work with a team approach with maturity and flexibility.


    •Must have working knowledge of functions, policies, procedures, and equipment of the Physical and Occupational Therapy Department.
