  • Overview

    Rehabilitation Services is in search of a Physical Therapy Aide. The Aide provides compassionate, quality patient care while aiding patients in their goal of becoming self-sufficient, healthy and strong.  This position will work primarily in the outpatient setting (at Water's Edge) and occasionally in the inpatient setting (at MCMC).

     

    This position is Part-Time (16 scheduled hours per week) and will receive a 13% pay differential in lieu of benefits.

     

    Flexibility is essential as this position will require rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

    Responsibilities

    The primary function of the Therapy Aide is to assist the Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist in providing the highest quality of therapy services possible, while providing the patient with a pleasant experience. The Therapy Aide provides treatment to assigned patients under the direction of the Physical Therapist and/or Occupational Therapist and as outlined in the patient care plan. The Therapy Aide recognizes that the responsibilities of this job are patient-centered, and with that in mind, he/she will organize, supervise and render the highest quality of care to each patient.

     

    Qualifications

    Candidate must be a high school graduate and able to quickly and efficiently learn new tasks and procedures. Basic computer skills and excellent customer service are required. Medical Terminology and/or experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.  The chosen candidate will be given 40-hours of Aide training classes upon hire and must be able to demonstrate competencies in all skill areas after training. Bi-lingual skills are also preferred.
