  • Overview

    Mid-Columbia Medical Center is now accepting applications for a Respiratory Therapist position in the Cardio-Pulmonary Services Department.

     

    This is a casual position and will receive a 13% pay differential in lieu of benefits.

    Responsibilities

    Applicants must have a current license in the State of Oregon and be registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care. Minimum of one year of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy is required. Competency in all areas of Respiratory Care including, routine treatments, all forms of ventilations, conscious sedations, drawing ABG's, exercise stress testing, pulmonary function testing, EKG and EEG is required. Applicants must also have the ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. BLS, ACLS, NALS(NRP), PALS required.  RRT preferred.

     

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy; Associates Degree required.
    • Successful completion of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) clinic exam for CRT
    • Knowledge of specialized care (e.g. bronchoscopy assistance, intubation assistance, ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation, pulmonary function testing, conscious sedation assistance, cardiac stress testing, EEG, assist with cardio version, perform all aspects of respiratory care to adults, pediatrics and neonates as appropriate.
    • CPR required
    • ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within one year of hire
    • Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred
