MCMC's Patient & Visitor Services Department is now looking to fill a Patient Access Representative I position.
This is a Full-Time position and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
Under direct supervision of PVS Supervisor II, this position is responsible for greeting, interviewing, and registering patients (inpatients/outpatients); arranges for admission to hospital, obtains and records pertinent identifying information, assembles all admitting paperwork, provides HIPAA information to patients and collects account payments/co-pays.
High School diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of two years college education including satisfactory completion of college level Health Records coursework preferred. Minimum one year experience in healthcare experience or equivalent background preferred. Three years customer service experience required. National Certification of Healthcare Access Association preferred.
