  • Overview

    MCMC is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to join their team. This is a full time position and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits and paid time off package. Directs overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, receiving and inventory of materials, selection of vendors and distribution of goods throughout the facility. Evaluates past performance data to forecast needs and production levels. Develops strategic plans to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of supplies. Includes all procurement processes for clinical and non-clinical areas. Manages staff and the daily operational activity of the warehouse, mail-room and the courier system in alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the organization.


    Manages initiatives to enhance clinical supply chain performance, and improve clinical resource management. Serves as an on-site facilitator to assist in the development and coordination of strategies for analyzing products, technologies, and processes to assist in the delivery patient centered and cost effective care. Reviews and assesses applicable financial, clinical, and operational data to assist in the analysis, selection, implementation and evaluation of cost-effective products, technologies, services and processes. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with clinical, administrative, and healthcare staff to ensure effective results, outcomes and implementation of value based best practices.




    Staffing Management: Responsible for the recruitment and retention process of department(s) staffing to include:

    • Oversight and/or participation in interviewing, selection, training, development and evaluation and professional development of all staff
    • Assesses technical and professional education needs of the staff and develops or provides educational resources to meet those needs
    • Oversees and/or assigns workloads and monitors quantity and quality of work

    • Succession Planning
    • Performance Management (SMART Goals, performance expectations, accountability, timeliness)
    • Professional Development supports Department and Organization Strategic Initiatives

     Fiscal Responsibility:

    • Responsible for financial performance for all areas

    • Develop and manage operational and capital budgets


     Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):

    • Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare related field (or equivalent experience) required. Training in materials management concepts, supply distribution alternatives and quality  management is preferred.
    • Minimum of three years progressively more responsible experience in supply chain within a healthcare environment. Experience must include demonstrated technical expertise in supply chain, information systems, scheduling, inventory management, acquisition, receiving, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment. Leadership and supervisory experience is preferred.
    • Four years plus experience with supply chain and value analysis in a healthcare setting.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must be able to work in a fast paced and stressful environment.
    • Experience with using every day technology tools (e.g, email, spreadsheets, word processing, voicemail, internet/intranet) to access, organize and store job-related information.
