  • Overview

    Mid-Columbia Medical Center is hiring for an Assistant Controller to join their team.

     

    This position is a full time position and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

    Responsibilities

    Manages the daily operations activities of assigned staff and duties in Financial Services in alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the organization.

     

    Responsible for providing complex support to meet the financial, budgeting and analytical needs of MCMC. This position uses advanced knowledge of financial, clinical and data systems, as well as PC technologies to provide financial data for budget, cost reporting, variance analysis, productivity stands and special projects.

    Qualifications

     

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent experience required.

    Experience

    • Minimum of five progressively responsible experience in accounting and finance or equivalent in training and experience.

     

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of health care accounting systems and related support functions such as budget, cost reporting, productivity, reimbursement, billing concepts, and health care operational and clinical practices.
    • Experience with using everyday technology tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing, voicemail, internet/intranet) to access, organize and store job information.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
    • Ability to perform comprehensive analytical tasks using appropriate computer tools.
    • Demonstrated judgment in prioritizing projects and reaching appropriate analytical conclusions.
    • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
