  • Overview

     

    Mid-Columbia Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Child Development Teacher I to join the Great N' Small team.

     

    This is a full time position and will receive a comprehensive benefits package.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for the oversight and manage of a specific age-targeted classroom in accordance with the goal and curriculum plan of Great & Small or Kid’s Club and meets all appropriate certification requirements for the state. Learning classrooms will be targeted for the following development stages: Infant; Toddler; Preschool; and School Age.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Associates Degree in early childhood education or equivalent in training and experience.  
    • Meets teacher qualifications as identified in the Oregon State Early Learning Division - Office of Child Care. Must have current first aid and CPR training
    • Enrolled in the Central Background Registry or ability to apply prior to hire date
    • Must have State Food Handler’s Card if responsible for handling food.
    • Child Abuse and Neglect Training preferred, in-house training is also provided.

    Experience:

    • One year experience working in child development services preferred

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

    • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with some supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
    • Experience with using every day technology tools (e.g. email, spreadsheets, word processing, voicemail, internet / intranet) to access, organize and store job-related information.
