    Mid-Columbia Medical Center, in collaboration with Oregon Health and Science University, seeks a F/T Orthopedic - Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedic Specialist Clinic at the state-of-the-art Water's Edge facility. Located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, this opportunity is accompanied by a clinical faculty appointment at the OHSU School of Medicine in Portland, OR. The Orthopedic group includes a dynamic team of 2 orthopedic surgeons, 2 PA's, and a Certified Athletic Trainer.

    Responsibilities

    The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions for patient care services. The position will work with the Orthopedic program by providing support to assigned physicians for support and coordination of care at the Mid Columbia Medical Center, Water’s Edge, The Dalles Oregon. This position will provide leadership and guidance in the area of inpatient and outpatient care and clinical support operations for the MCMC Orthopedics and Rehabilitation clinic. This position works in partnership with physicians to provide excellent clinical care and customer service in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Duration of this appointment and indicated salary may be changed or eliminated if gift, grant, or contract funds supporting this position become unavailable.

    Qualifications

    • Current Physician Assistant license
    • Registration with the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners as a licensed Physician Assistant
    • Prescriptive authority (DEA License)
    • Current CPR Certification
    • Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, professional demeanor and excellent organizational skills
    • Skilled in organizational behavior and human resources management
    • Ability to Multi-task and prioritize
    • Ability to work as a team member an interdisciplinary setting
    • Demonstrate effective communications in verbal, written and electronic media
    • Computer/word processing skills
    • Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
