  • Overview

    Mid-Columbia Medical Center (MCMC) is currently seeking a Director of Diagnostic Imaging.

     

    MCMC is located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.  MCMC, with a 49-bed hospital, cancer center, wellness center, and clinics, employs nearly 1,000 community members.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for the administration, technical direction and planning for the Diagnostic Imaging Department and other departments as may be required.   Aligns goals and objectives of the department with organization strategic initiatives, mission and values.

     

    Working collaborative with lead staff, manages radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and other modalities as required. Responsible for technical direction and overall operations.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in field, or equivalent experience required.
    • Completion of training in an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, leading to registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

    Experience

    • Modality experience preferred.
    • Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience related to area of responsibility. Two years supervisory or management experience in related field. Thorough knowledge of operations, including staff and scheduling, budget management and workflow planning. Experience with using every day technology tools (e.g, email, spreadsheets, word processing, voicemail, internet/intranet) to access, organize and store job-related information. Experience in billing and patient information regulatory compliance a plus.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
