  • Overview

    Mid-Columbia Medical Center is currently seeking a Diabetes Educator / Dietitian to join our Dietitian Services team.

     

    This is a part time core position and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package OR a 13% pay differential in lieu of benefits.

    Responsibilities

    Provide clinical nutrition services, medical nutrition therapy and goal directed diabetes management education  that is integrated and compatible with the patient’s medical program goals and objectives.  Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing nutrition services, medical nutrition therapy and diabetes education using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines; managing resources in a cost effective manner; participating in performance improvement efforts; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):

     

    • Certification / Licensure: Oregon and Washington as applicable.
    • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
    • CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) or ability to obtain is strongly preferred.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

     

    • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to patients, public, physicians and interdisciplinary health care team and work collaboratively.
    •  Able to function independently and with limited supervision. 
    • General knowledge of data technology tools (email, Microsoft Office, Excel, and EMR)
