Overview

Mid-Columbia Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist for the Water's Edge Spa.

 

This position is part time core scheduled minimum 20 hours per week, variable shifts, working rotating week-ends, afternoon shift up to 8 pm in the evening, and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package OR a 13% differential and commission.

Responsibilities

The Massage Therapy Provider’s primary responsibility is to provide professional massages with a variety of techniques in a spa setting, such as: Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy, sports massage, reflexology, Acupressure, shiatsu, lymph drainage. The Massage Therapy Provider will also perform other body treatments such as: herbal wraps, vichy shower, scrubs and hydrotherapy.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):

Education:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Current Oregon State License in Massage Therapy.

Experience:

  • One year experience as an LMT
  • Previous experience in a Spa or Day Spa.
  • Current certification in basic first aid and CPR.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to think clearly, quickly and maintain concentration and make concise decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
  • Ability to focus attention on details.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent Spa data.
  • Ability to assess guests’ physical needs.
  • Knowledge of proper therapy methods as outlined in state licensing laws and regulations
  • Practical knowledge of proper "draping" techniques
  • Knowledge in various body work techniques and modalities.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to perform intermediate level math skills.
  • Knowledge of physiology.
  • Ability to promote retail sales, rebooking appointments and other services.
