Mid-Columbia Medical Center (MCMC) is searching for a Full-time Chief Financial Officer. MCMC is a 49-bed comprehensive medical center located along the beautiful Columbia River Gorge in The Dalles, Oregon. Responsibilities

As a member of the Hospital's Executive Management Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Mid-Columbia Regional/Mid-Columbia Medical center will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership in the areas of finance and corporate compliance in accordance with the mission and values of the organization. The CFO is responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Directors. The CFO is responsible for leading the finance department, including accounting, revenue cycle, business services (including third party reimbursement), financial reporting, financial planning, analysis and financial regulatory compliance. Provides oversight of the Corporate Compliance Director (CCD) and related requirements and responsibilities

 

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and acknowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. MBA preferred.
  • CPA Required

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of seven years of progressive experience managing financial operations, management systems, and interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model in the healthcare industry 
  • Experience with financing construction projects, community based clinics, staffing acuity models, and labor force productivity tools highly preferred
  • Proven record of financial stabilization

 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Expert in Excel and other Financial-related technology tools.
  • Knowledgeable about local, regional and national healthcare initiatives and changes that will impact the sustainability of MCMC’s positive financial, operational and strategic outcomes
