Mid-Columbia Medical Center is now seeking an experienced Mech II to join our engineering team at WE/MCMC. Knowledge of hot water systems, HVAC systems, small equipment or electrical is required
This position is full-time and will be eligible for a comprehensive benefit package. Flexibility in scheduling is essential as this position will be scheduled at varied shifts, and may be required to take call.
This position is one of three that mainly support the WE campus but also supports all of MCMC entities. Under limited direction, operates, maintains and repairs physical plant systems, buildings and equipment. The Maintenance Engineer performs general maintenance throughout the facility. Operates and maintains refrigeration; power; heat and cooling distribution systems. Seeking person with good written as well as in person communication skills to be able to continue the positive working relationship between staff and clinicians at WE/MCMC. Position rotates Saturdays/holidays and potentially entire weekends to ensure the building is working at its best. Must be able to pass Pool class certification within the year in order to maintain position. Detail oriented to develop policy and procedure program and assist others in learning to fix the systems in the various buildings. Self starter and self motivated, positive team orientated person is a must to become one of the team. Ability to work alone as well as in a group is a must. Working in the WE facility as well as the MCMC campus buildings this position will be challenged to keep the facilities operating at their best and plan to be part of the new Tower construction project in the future.
Minimum two years related work experience in the areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.
Minimum Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Person with experience in Life Safety Coordination and or Environment of Care Coordination would be a plus. Work experience or AA in related field would be considered for this Full time position. Salary is DOE and skills set brought forward at time of interview.
