Overview

MCMC is seeking a Panel Coordinator to join their Outpatient Quality Department.

 

This is a full time position and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

The Team Coordinator independently supports the combined Primary Care Teams. The Panel Coordinator is vital to the implementation of the innovative Patient Centered Medical Home model at Mid Columbia Outpatient Clinics. Working in conjunction with the MCOC Quality Team, the Panel Coordinator plays a significant part in pro-actively gathering data, analyzing current processes (i.e. developing "intelligence"), identifying steps for improvement, and developing procedures, forms and educational materials that translates the "intelligence" into language best understood by all team members. Panel Coordinators help to optimize revenue for the practice, especially regarding pay-for-performance reimbursements and grant related revenue. New reporting and information accountability requirements will emerge in the continually transforming health care system we work within (some episodic needs and some will become routine) and the Panel Coordinators will be expected to take on these new responsibilities as well.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required, business preferred.

Continuing education and/or specialized training in EPIC computer applications, operations and information systems to support understanding of software functions and system integration preferred.

            Experience:

            Experience in project coordination required.

2 years experience as an end-user with Electronic Health Records (EHR)- preferably EPIC and computerized clinical charting.

2 years experience in healthcare setting with demonstrated understanding of clinical practice

Experience using electronic documentation in an outpatient environment is preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Proficient with basic word processing and presentation applications (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)

Proficiency in flow diagramming software (i.e. VISIO), preferred.
