Overview

Mid-Columbia Medical Center's Celilo Cancer Center is seeking a Director of Oncology Services.

 

This is a full time position and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits and PTO package.

Responsibilities

Manages all aspects of the facilities operations to ensure alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the facility and organization. Understands and supports the Planetree philosophy and mission of patient-centered healthcare promoted at Mid-Columbia Medical Center.

Responsible for the facilitation of a safe environment and safe level of nursing care through mentoring and coordination at the Celilo staff’s roles, responsibilities and expectations.

Qualifications

Education (includes licenses or certifications):

  • BS Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN license in the State of Oregon
  • BLS, ACLS, Conscious Sedation; and Certification in Nursing leadership, or the ability to obtain in two years

Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Minimum five years of progressively more responsible healthcare experience. Thorough knowledge of operations, including staffing, and scheduling, budget management, and workflow planning. Management experience required.
  • Experience using every day technology tools (email, spreadsheets, word processing, voicemail, internet/intranet) to access, organize and store job related information.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Able to perform nursing techniques and procedures including in the nursing skills list and all documented nursing competencies as defined in their job descriptions.
