Overview

Mid-Columbia Medical Center is seeking a Registered Polysomnography Technologist to join the Sleep Center.

 

This position is Full-Time, nights, 3 - 12 hour shifts per week, and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, this position functions in a team environment to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders involving polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, or patient care and education.  Safely operates sophisticated medical equipment to record sleep/wake physiology. Responsible for maintaining the supplies needed for polysomnographic testing in the Sleep Clinic.    

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) –Required
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through BRPT –Required
  • Oregon State License required
  • BLS required within four months of employment
  • Staff must participate in an average of 10 hours per year of AMA PRA category 1 CME or CEC in sleep related activity, over a 5 year period to maintain License with documentation.

Experience:

  • Looking for Licensed Polysomnographer with BRPT certificate and Oregon State license. This person must have at least five years experience and have knowledge of scoring, running an overnight study as well as performing an MSLT, MWT, and HST. Back ground in Durable Medical equipment is a plus. Applicant must be willing to work nights and fill in on days if needed. Knowledge of Cadwell equipment  preferred but we can train.

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Proficient in using computers used during testing and scoring preferred.
  • Knowledge of biomedical equipment preferred.
  • Medical Background preferred.
