Overview

Mid Columbia Outpatient Clinics is now accepting applications for a Medical Assistant to join their exceptional team working directly with a provider. The primary responsibility of this position will be working closely with a provider team in the daily coordination of patient care and patient access.

 

This position will be working in Hood River at the new Nichols Landing building in the Cardiology Clinic.

 

This is a full time position and will be eligible for a comprehensive benefit and PTO package.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality and safe services for seven specialty clinics. The individual in this position will work cooperatively with the care team to support the vision of Mid Columbia Outpatient Clinics. Provides quality appropriate patient care, utilizing customer service skills throughout the patient care continuum. Collects pertinent patient data and coordinates with provider and team for appropriate patient intervention. Will work with the front office to ensure smooth patient flow, and waiting room management.

Qualifications

One year of Medical Assistant experience is preferred; ability to recognize and anticipate the needs of the patient and provider; adaptable and accepts change well; organized; exceptional ability to multitask; independent decision making skills; works as a team player at all levels; assists coworkers with duties when requested, to include, but not limited to floating to other areas, effective communication; Medical Assistant Certification is strongly preferred and required within six months. Epic experience is also highly preferred.
