Overview

Mid-Columbia Medical Center is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to join the Administration Department.

 

This position is Full-Time and is eligible for benefits. This position will primarily work day shift, however flexibility is required, as morning and evening meetings will be required.

Responsibilities

Under limited supervision provides a range of complex administrative and organizational support to President/CEO and other senior executives in the MCMC Office of Administration.  Responsible for administrative functions which, by the nature of the reporting structure, involve top level management contacts and exposure to highly sensitive information requiring considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, judgment and confidentiality.  Performs responsibilities in alignment with MCMC values, mission and goals.  This position reports to the President/CEO.

Qualifications

Education:    

  • College degree or equivalent in training and experience

Experience:  

  • Minimum of five years senior level administrative assistant experience or equivalent education and/or training, preferably with a health care organization. Experience in interacting with all levels of organization with a concentrated focus on Senior Management.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment when making decisions within the framework of corporate policy, seeking consultation as needed.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to create presentations (charts, graphs of data, etc.) utilizing computer software programs (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to transcribe reports, forms and correspondence, including the use of technical and medical terminology, from longhand or dictation.
  • Ability to compose specialized or sensitive correspondence and reports. Ability to edit documents for grammar, punctuation, etc. 
  • Ability to understand, anticipate, prioritize and follow through on responsibilities with a high degree of initiative.
