Responsibilities

This position directs and oversees all administrative and financial aspects of each designated practice, consistent with applicable laws and regulations, and is responsible for strategic planning, personnel management, budgeting and finance, contract performance, billing and other business office functions.  Works closely with OHSU and MCMC Leadership on all administrative functions for the MCOC practices, providing administrative continuity between both organizations. 

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior management position, in a large group practice, faculty practice plan, teaching hospital, or other setting which otherwise demonstrates ability to manage a progressive, complex, multi-dimensional and multi-site operation
  • Ability to analyze complex financial and accounting data, to oversee institutional budgets, fund accounting and revenue cycle processes
  • Extensive knowledge of business management and administrative theory
  • Ability to make independent decisions, analyze situations, solve complex problems and initiate actions for the effective management of a large and complex department
  • Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills and management style
  • Demonstrated understanding of the complex and fluctuating academic medical center environment relative to the financing and delivery of health care
  • Typical work week, evenings and weekends may be required
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to move across campus quickly, ability to lift 30 lbs
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in senior practice management position (non-academic)
  • Physician contracts and compensation, project management and development of new medical practice sites, and deep experience in process improvement initiatives
