  • Overview

    We are currently seeking a Chief Medical Officer to join our Executive Team in developing the overall business strategy and direction of the organization. The incumbent will collaborate with the Executive Team, the Medical Executive Committee, Clinic Operations Executive Director, and other OHSU representatives to maintain high quality medical services; direct the medical staff and assure the medical staff is in compliance with all regulatory and accreditation authorities; and perform all responsibilities in alignment with Planetree-model of interaction with patients and all levels of employees and MCMC's mission, values and objectives of the organization.


    This position has accountability for the quality of the clinical professionals and their work, provider behaviors, clinical innovation, compliance, patient care standards, clinical model management, referring physician relations and provider leverage, and will collaborate with the Physician Recruitment Advisory team and the HR Physician Recruiter to attract and retain physicians. In addition, the CMO will be responsible for effective governance, credentialing, planning and monitoring of the quality of patient care and resource utilization across areas of responsibility; risk management, quality and compliance, medical staff credentialing and related services; new business development; and contributing as appropriate to clinical development programs.


    The ideal candidate will be a licensed MD/DO with board certification, a minimum of five years of experience in a clinical practice setting partnered with more than five years of administrative experience, proven expertise in leading teams and building positive internal and external professional relationships with all levels of staff, physicians, vendors, community members, etc., knowledge of nationally established and accepted clinical guidelines, strong familiarity with EPIC, excellent leadership skills, and a financial background.
